MACAU

So last November when I went to Hong Kong, we also went on a day trip by boat to Macau. Macau is technically apart of China but has it’s own legal system, money, police force etc. I’m told that the main reason that people go to Macau from Hong Kong is because gambling and prostitution are illegal in Hong Kong but legal in Macau!

The police cars in Macau are Mazda 3’s.

The main reason we went to Macau was because Jally and Dan wanted to jump off Macau tower. It’s the highest bungee jump in the world coming in at 233m.

Because I am chicken shit, I pass on this.

While I’m up there, I notice a couple taking wedding photos on the Sky Walk!

Back on the ground, we go in search of food.

But find cars instead!

I think this is a late model Suzuki Alto Works? So cool.

And a Suzuki Carry that has seen a pretty hard life.

We wanted to go to an authentic Macau style restaurant. Cats make it authentic right? RIGHT?

As Macau used to be a Portuguese colony there is still a lot of signs written in both Chinese and Portuguese. Portuguese tarts are also plentiful and delicious there!

Another popular tourist attraction in Macau is the Ruins of St Paul.

I don’t care too much for this attraction because I’ve spotted something far more attractive. A toy store in the alley below! The store is crammed so full of figurines and collectables that it’s hard to walk around.

After awakening from a nerd induced coma, I purchase a Transformers Alternator Toyota bB! It combines my love of box cars and transformers. I’ve been after this one for a while!

Dan picks up an AE86 rc drift car.

Lowered “something big” series Beamer.

Because Honda drivers are dirty all around the world, I’m not sure if this is really a Euro R or if it’s fake. I’ve never seen a real one so let’s just pretend it is. 😛

And surprise, surprise, we’re hungry again! It’s lucky that the Macau food festival also happens to coincide with our visit.

I eat some pretty whack stuff. Gotta try everything!

After stuffing our faces, we then realise that there was an entire Japanese section that we didnt’ know about. Noooo!

We’ve got one more place to go to before we leave Macau (no, it’s not a casino or brothel) and it’s pretty DAMN cool.

To be continued…
